Clergy: ordained, commissioned, licensed and retired clergy;
interim pastors, parish nurses, Christian educators, church
musicians, and in-care students.
What is the Persons in Ministry Retreat? The PIM Retreat
provides an opportunity to relax, visit with colleagues, and get
away for a few days. We will have four sessions exploring ways
to be attentive to the presence of the Holy in our everyday lives,
with Dr. Bruce Epperly and his wife, Katherine Gould Epperly, as our
guest presenters.
Dr. Epperly is the Director of Continuing Education and Professor of
Practical Theology at Lancaster Theological Seminary. He is
also the author/co-author of 17 books, including Feeding the Fire
and The Four Seasons of Ministry. Rev. Katherine
Epperly is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples
of Christ) and the UCC, and along with her husband is the co-pastor
of Disciples United Community Church in Lancaster, PA. Kate
and Bruce's book, Tending to the Holy, was named 2009's Book
of the Year by The Academy of Parish Clergy and will serve as the
theme for this year's retreat.
Registration materials are available above. The cost for this
year's PIM Retreat will be $120 which includes all program materials
and four meals (dinner on Monday, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday,
and breakfast on Wednesday). Rooms are approximately $101 per
night. The total cost will be about $323 for participants in a
single room or $221 for participants who share a room with a
roommate.

rate of $86 (before taxes). Online reservations are available
through September 15; after that you will need to call them.
If you plan on having a roommate, please tell Port Arrowhead when
you reserve your room. If you would like a roommate but do not
have a particular person to share a room with, please contact Renee

accommodate each roommate request.
Remember that after you make your room reservation with Port
Arrowhead, you will still need to register for the PIM Retreat with
our office and pay the registration fee of $120. Registration
form is available above, along with two payment options, credit card
and online payment through our donation page. Registration
forms are due in our office by September 2, 2010. They can
